Meet the Instructors

Kimie Allen, Co-founder

Kimie Allen is a yoga teacher, studio owner, and co-founder of Studio Luma with nearly two decades of practice rooted in this very community. Her yoga journey began in 2008, when she turned to the mat while navigating the demands of a corporate career and early motherhood. What started as a way to find balance became a lifelong calling.

In 2015, Kimie completed her yoga teacher training at Bloom Yoga, the same studio that would eventually become Studio Luma, and never looked back. It was there that she met her business partner and dear friend Angela, the two of them practicing side by side, training together, and building a bond that made opening a studio together feel less like a business decision and more like a natural next chapter.

Kimie brings a depth of both experience and credential to her teaching. She holds her 200-hour yoga teacher training, a Level 1 Restorative Yoga certification (2017), and a Pilates Mat certification through Power Pilates (2026). She spent four years managing a yoga studio, developing a behind-the-scenes understanding of what makes a space truly thrive, not just operationally, but energetically. She is also co-founder of Pure Yoga Retreats, blending her love of travel and exploration with her passion for yoga and wellness.

At Studio Luma, Kimie's greatest joy is creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, where the heat, the movement, and the community do exactly what they did for her all those years ago.

Angela Lauretano, Co-founder

Angela is a certified yoga and fitness instructor bringing energy, heart, and scientific precision to every class she teaches. Her journey began during a challenging season of her own life, when yoga became a way to release anxiety and find her footing again. That experience never left her, and it lives in the way she teaches, with clarity, creativity, and a warmth that makes students feel at ease from the moment they step onto the mat. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2015 at Bloom Yoga, where she met Kimie, one of her closest friends. The two trained side by side, built a close friendship rooted in the same love of yoga and community, and are thrilled to finally bring their vision of Studio Luma to life.

Angela brings over a decade of teaching experience across an impressive range of formats — power yoga, yoga sculpt, prenatal, chair yoga, barre, pilates and more. She holds a 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification, prenatal yoga certification (2017), Human Reformer Pilates certification (2025), and a Pilates Mat certification through Power Pilates (2026). By day she is a biology professor, and her deep understanding of biology informs everything she teaches.

Outside the studio, Angela can be found snowboarding, traveling, exploring all things science, and spending time with her daughter and husband. At Studio Luma, she is excited to bring all of it together, the science, the heart, and the years of practice to help build a community where people can show up, work hard, and leave feeling like themselves again.

Gina Breen

With over 25 years of experience in both traditional fitness and corporate wellness, and a 200-hour yoga certification earned through Bloom Yoga in 2015, she brings a well-rounded, deeply informed approach to every class she teaches. Yoga quickly became the missing piece in her fitness work and that enthusiasm for movement has never slowed down.

Her classes are rooted in intention, connection, and making the most of time together. She keeps things fun, lighthearted, and accessible, always offering options so every student feels both supported and challenged in their own way.

Outside the studio you'll find her hiking, camping, traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with her husband, her best travel and cooking partner. She is a proud mom to three adult children and will happily tell you that her new kids are her two dogs and her backyard chickens. She can't wait to meet you on the mat at Studio Luma!

Lisa Cammuso

Lisa discovered yoga more than twenty-five years ago while recovering from a car accident and navigating the pace of a corporate career. Today, her teaching is grounded in creating a calm, supportive space where students can reconnect, restore, and build resilience from the inside out. She completed 200 and 300-hour teacher trainings and a 95-hour children’s yoga training through Bhogah Yoga and is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500®, RCYT®, and YACEP®.

With a special interest in yin and restorative practices, Lisa trained in yin with Heather Tiddens, restorative yoga with Jillian Pransky, and is a Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® guide and a Five Element Yoga® teacher through her studies with Jennifer Reis. She is also a Reiki Master (Lotus Moon Studios) and completed 200 hours of foundational Ayurvedic studies at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Ayurveda is a meaningful focus in her work, and she draws on its principles to support sustainable, individualized well-being, helping students cultivate balance in daily life through mindful movement, breath, rest, and self-care.

Mae Connolly

Maegan is a passionate yoga teacher who brings strength, flow, and mindfulness together in every class. With a love for movement both on and off the mat, she blends powerful sequences with intentional breath to help students build resilience, confidence, and inner calm.

Teaching all levels, from beginners to seasoned yogis, Maegan creates an encouraging space where students feel supported to challenge themselves while staying connected to their bodies. Her classes range from energizing Power Flow to grounding Hot Yoga, always emphasizing mindful movement, steady breath, and leaving the mat feeling stronger than when you arrived.

Maegan completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through West Hartford Yoga and continues to deepen her knowledge and teaching skills.

Off the mat, Maegan is an avid runner who believes yoga is a powerful tool for both physical strength and mental clarity. Her goal is simple: to help every student find stillness in motion and strength from within

Patty Davis

Hi, I'm Patty! I’m a passionate health and fitness professional with over 30 years of experience helping others move, feel, and live better. My journey began in 1991 as an aerobics instructor with the YMCA and the Fitness Center for Women, and over the years I've had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of fitness and yoga programs, including adult community classes and fitness training for the Army National Guard, experiences I'm especially grateful for.

In 2014, I deepened my practice by completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Bloom Yoga Fitness Studios, becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance in 2015. I continued my education with my 300-hour training in 2020, bringing my total to 500 hours of yoga certification.

My teaching style draws from a blend of fitness disciplines — cardiovascular and strength training alongside various styles of yoga. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable space where every student feels seen and respected, with classes tailored to individual abilities and needs. I'm so happy to be part of the Studio Luna community and can't wait to share my passion for yoga and fitness with you.

Alisa DelMonte

Alisa is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) trained in vinyasa flow as well as the quiet practices of yin and restorative yoga. She is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and AFAA Certified Group Fitness and Pilates Instructor.

Drawn to yoga more than 20 years ago as a way to find balance in a sometimes unbalanced world, Alisa has since made it her complement to running and other physical training. She believes in the benefits of yoga for all. Her classes nourish both body and mind, building strength, flexibility, and balance. Alisa has discovered that the lessons learned on the yoga mat can be much more meaningful in daily life, and she looks forward to sharing that with others

Jessica DeVitto

Jessica holds her E-RYT 200, is a Certified Continuing Education Provider, an emerging mental health counselor, and a Reiki practitioner, and remains a lifelong student of holistic healing. She views yoga as a magical movement, one that connects the self, awakens inner energy, and blooms into a sense of bliss. Yoga walks alongside her every day, shaping both her personal and professional path.

She completed her 200-hour training at Be. Yoga, where she was guided in finding and using her voice through the teachings of Erich Schiffmann, B.K.S. Iyengar, and Ganga White. Rooted in self-expression through words, movement, and creativity, her teaching honors every body and meets each individual exactly where they are.

Jessica enjoys leading intentional flow and restorative healing practices, creating classes that are accessible, supportive, and inclusive for all.

Rebecca Sweetman

Yoga has been a part of Rebecca's life since 2009, when she took her first class in college and began a journey that would gradually unfold into a calling to teach. In November 2025, she completed her 200-hour certification in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga.

Rebecca's intention in every class is simple: to help students reconnect with themselves. She creates a calm, safe space where students can slow down, tune in, and truly listen to the wisdom held within their own bodies and intuition.

To Rebecca, yoga is far more than movement on the mat. It is a way of living that brings awareness to the quiet joy woven into everyday life, and that is exactly what she hopes to share with every student who walks through the door.

Julie Wallace

Julie received her yoga certification in 2009 from Yoga Point in Nasik, India, where she immersed herself in the roots of the practice. That foundation has shaped everything she brings to the mat today.

With a deep passion for holistic wellness, Julie's teaching style thoughtfully blends the strength and energy of fitness with the mindfulness and presence of traditional yoga, creating a balanced and accessible experience for every student. Having experienced firsthand the profound impact this practice can have, she brings authenticity, warmth, and intention to every class she teaches.

Julie is honored to be part of the Studio Luma community and looks forward to supporting every student on their journey toward greater well-being
